Vic in this episode

Vic is arguing with Jackson on the phone. Travis overhears it and Vic complains about men being babies before running off. Later, while playing with the kids, Dean tells her that JJ is in labor and she tells him that her and Jackson had their first fight and she doesn't even remember how it started. She is upset that Jackson is not replying to her calls and thinks he is breaking up with her. Dean in the meantime is worried whether he will be a good dad to his baby and Vic reassures him how amazing he is and that the baby is the luckiest baby to have him as a father. Later, she walks in after Rigo punches Jack and takes care of his bleeding nose and doesn't give Rigo the chance to explain why he punched him. At the end, Vic finds out about Pruitt's cancer.

Quotes from this episode

Vic: Yeah, no, it sounds like you're s-- It sounds like you're saying I tried to manipulate you. It's what you're saying. You're just not saying it. No, I'm not trying to start a fight. I'm just tr-- Okay. Yeah, okay, bye. Don't.
Travis: I didn't say anything.
Vic: Um... you want to tell me why men are such babies?
Travis: Ooh. Question for the ages. Mm. Maybe you'll find the answer, uh, if you take over for my phone shift. Please!
Vic: Oh, no! No, no. You're not gonna do it today. I already put in my phone time, and, uh, now I gotta go entertain some kids.
Travis: Vic.
Vic: You're a baby.
Travis: Baby.
Vic: Men are babies! Excuse me.
Vic: Miller's here! Heads up! Okay, you understand what to do with a ball, right?
Dean: Can you imagine having to pee one of these?
Vic: I'm sorry, what?
Dean: JJ's in labor.
Vic: What? Now?
Dean: Yes.
Vic: Here -- At Grey-Sloan?
Dean: No, no, no. Here, upstairs, in the showers.
Vic: Are you s-- Man, what are you doing down here?
Dean: I mean, she needs her space, and I have a greater chance of survival right here.
Vic: Okay, well, there's a guy getting his foot cut off in there, so I wouldn't be so sure about that.
Dean: Hey.
Vic: Hey.
Little girl: Is she your girlfriend?
Vic: [ chuckles ] No.
Dean: Ha ha. Me? Her? No, no, no. She's dating Superman.
Vic: Yeah.
Dean: I'm more like the Brown Hornet.
Vic: Yeah, his girlfriend is having a baby right now. Can you believe that?
Little girl: Ew.
Dean: Yeah. Exactly how I feel.
Vic: She nailed it.
Dean: She's not really my girlfriend.
Vic: Oh, yeah, I forgot. She's just some chick you knocked up.
Dean: Seems like it.
Vic: It's a bad day for lovers. - Jackson and I had our first fight.
Dean: Oh. Was it about which one of his eyes are prettier?
Vic: Yeah, you know what? That's so weird. That's exactly what it was.
Dean: That's what I thought.
Vic: No, um, it was... really dumb, and, uh... I actually don't even remember how it started.
Dean: Ah. That sounds like a first fight.
Vic: Yeah.
Dean: He still didn't call?
Vic: Uh...no. No, he didn't. And you know what? If this is his way of breaking up with me by just ghosting me after our first fight, then you know what? Screw him. Sorry. He is a terrible person, and I am stupid for ever having dated him.
Dean: Or maybe he's in surgery?
Vic: Yeah, sure. If you want to be logical about it.
Dean: What if I'm a terrible dad?
Vic: Miller, did you have a terrible dad?
Dean: Uh, no. Um, I don't -- I don't know. He fed us, sure. He clothed us.
Vic: Okay.
Dean: He made sure we went to school.
Vic: Mm-hmm.
Dean: I didn't end up in jail or [ inhales sharply ] on drugs. So... I mean, I don't know. Was he a dad dad? Did he love us? That's -- That's debatable.
Vic: I relate to that statement more than I care to admit, and now I feel attacked. Miller, you are... kind and tough and playful and funny and strong and level-headed, patient, not judgmental. A little judgmental.
Dean: A lot of judgmental.
Vic: [ chuckles ] Uh, you're forgiving. You're the best there is. That little kid's gonna be the luckiest kid ever.
